TalkSPORT host Alan Brazil, a self-proclaimed Celtic fan, revealed on air that he received a text suggesting Rodgers could be in contention for the West Ham job. Brazil’s co-host, Gabby Agbonlahor, expressed skepticism, citing Celtic’s impressive form in the Champions League.
“Brendan Rodgers? He can’t leave, not with how Celtic are playing,” Brazil said.
Agbonlahor concurred, “Not with how Celtic are playing in the Champions League. They have a chance of reaching the play-offs, so he’s going nowhere.”
Brazil added, “I don’t know if it’s just my mate winding me up because he’s a Celtic fan or he’s heard something.”
Agbonlahor concluded, “I don’t think they’ll sack Lopetegui yet, though. I think they’ll give him more time.”
