“Sullivan’s Hands are Tied….” Insider Report Reveals REASONS Why David Sullivan CANNOT Sack Lopetegui Even if He Wants to….

West Ham United Set to Reassess Julen Lopetegui’s Future Amid Poor Results

Reports suggesting that West Ham United Chairman David Sullivan will refrain from dismissing Julen Lopetegui due to a substantial pay-off are reportedly wide of the mark.

According to sources, the Hammers’ financial situation is not a significant factor in the decision-making process regarding Lopetegui’s future. Instead, the club’s hierarchy will reassess the Spanish manager’s position if the team fails to yield positive results in their upcoming Premier League matches against Newcastle and Arsenal.

If West Ham’s slide down the table continues, with no indication of a turnaround, the club’s board will not hesitate to take action to ensure the team’s top-flight status.

Contrary to reports, Lopetegui’s influence on the club’s summer transfers was limited. While he did push for the signings of Max Kilman and Guido Rodriguez, the majority of the transfer dealings were overseen by director of football Tim Steidten.

Regarding Lopetegui’s potential pay-off, it is understood that the club would not be required to pay a single lump severance fee. Instead, they would need to honour his monthly wages for the next 18 months or until he finds alternative employment.

As one source noted, “Whilst no doubt, the club would prefer the appointment of the former Sevilla manager to work out, they’re certainly not handcuffed from sacking him by finances.”
