Slane responded: “No, I don’t think so.” However, Halliday disagreed, saying: “I think he would go to Celtic.”

While Shankland’s form has dipped this season, his stats still make for impressive reading. However, when compared to Celtic’s current striking options, Kyogo Furuhashi and Adam Idah, Shankland’s numbers pale in comparison.
