After a summer of big-money additions, including the £105million purchase of Declan Rice from West Ham, the Gunners have made a near-perfect start to the Premier League season.
MIkel Arteta’s side edged past the Premier League reigning champions Manchester City on Sunday to leapfrog Pep Guardiola’s side in the table and go level on points with leaders Tottenham Hotspur.
Though the campaign is in full flow, behind the scenes Arsenal’s recruitment team continue to plan for the January transfer window.

Footage has emerged of Samir Nasri being comforted by aggressive Arsenal fan at Man City game
New footage shows the moment Samir Nasri was confronted by an Arsenal during their Premier League fixture against Manchester City.
Nasri, who played for both Arsenal and Man City during his career, attended the Emirates showdown last weekend.
He was at the stadium for punditry work, but his outing in England was marred after an Arsenal supporter confronted him.
Sam Matterface claims the person started ‘bellowing’ at the former France international .
ADVERT
“There’s a supporter who was bellowing in his face at this moment in time,” he said.
“It’s a bit unnecessary from him getting involved with Nasri who’s just trying to do his job.
“Nasri is just standing there being barracked by the supporter.”
Reporter Alex Crook added: “A fan has just been thrown out of the Emirates for squaring up to Samir Nasri near the press box and then started throwing punches at fellow Arsenal fans. Absolute moron.”
A video of the incident has since emerged online as it sheds light on the moment between the aggressive Arsenal fan and Nasri. Check it out below:
The clip shows the 36-year-old stood in a gangway just outside the seating area.
A fan can be heard repeatedly shouting ‘sold his soul’ to Nasri, who is conversing with Arsenal stewards amid a crowd of onlookers.
An Arsenal fan can also be seen somewhat comforting Nasri amid the abuse aimed at him by the fan.
The attacking midfielder enjoyed three seasons at Arsenal before securing a switch to Man City in 2011, where he won two Premier League titles.
He left the Gunners to join the Blues to win titles. Speaking about his transfer, he said: “[The difference between City and Arsenal?] Titles, I hope. I am 24 and everyone says I am a good player, but I haven’t won anything.
“I loved my time at Arsenal but I have never won anything with them. This year, their best player left – Fabregas.
t a big club sometimes you have to bring in big players to win. Maybe Arsenal didn’t have this mentality.”
Jadon Sancho has decided which club he wants to join in January with Erik ten Hag relationship ‘beyond repair’
Jadon Sancho has reportedly decided which club he wants to join in January after falling out with Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag.
Sancho has been banished from the first-team for refusing to apologise to Ten Hag after he released a statement on social media following his omission against Arsenal last month.
It’s been claimed that the 23-year-old believes that if he were to apologise and admit the manager was right, it would undermine going public with his views.
ADVERT
The relationship between Ten Hag and Sancho is ‘beyond repair’, with a move away from Old Trafford appearing likely for the player, who cost the Premier League club a whopping £73 million from Borussia Dortmund in 2021.
La Liga giants Barcelona are thought to be interested in signing Sancho, but reports claim he’s eyeing another move ahead of the transfer window reopening next year.
According to 90 min, Sancho wants to rejoin Dortmund, who have kept tabs on their former star during his first two years at Man United.
Their relationship is still strong following four seasons together.
Man United, though, would want to recoup a chunk of the transfer fee they paid to sign Sancho as they would plot a move for a replacement, having identified a target.
But following the public dispute and the January transfer window approaching, where big-money transfers are more rare, a loan deal with an option to buy is a more likely scenario, per the report.
Sancho enjoyed great success in Germany as he starred in the Bundesliga, making 137 appearances and scoring an impressive 50 goals across all competitions.

Man Utd set to rival Liverpool for January target to replace Jadon Sancho
Manchester United have reportedly identified a replacement for Jadon Sancho as they eye a sensational move in January.
Sancho has been banished from Manchester United’s first-team after his refusal to apologise to Erik ten Hag following their public spat.
He was left out of his side’s squad to face Arsenal earlier this month, with Ten Hag providing an update on the player following their Carabao Cup victory on Wednesday.

Former Red Devils captain Roy Keane named the only thing he believes the current dressing room ‘wouldn’t have tolerated’ with Sancho as he shared his thoughts on the situation.
With the 23-year-old out of Ten Hag’s plans, it appears the Dutch boss is eyeing a replacement in January ahead of the second half of the season.
According to Calcio Mercato, Man United have identified Federico Chiesa as a replacement for Sancho, with a January transfer mooted.
The Italian international has starred at Juventus, impressing on his initial loan spell before making the switch permanent.
He has an impressive four goals in just six games in all competitions for Juve this season.
The 25-year-old also played a big part in Italy’s Euro 2020 triumph as he enhanced his reputation during the tournament.
He was strongly linked with a transfer to Liverpool amid Al Ittihad’s pursuit of Mohamed Salah. A £51 million transfer had been rumoured.
The Reds were reportedly ‘evaluating the possibility’ of signing Chiesa as a long-term replacement for Salah.
Man United, though, could swoop in and make a move for the star winger once the transfer window reopens.

Fabrizio Romano names potential Jadon Sancho replacement at Man Utd as January exit looms
Fabrizio Romano names potential Jadon Sancho replacement at Man Utd as January exit looms
Fabrizio Romano has named Jadon Sancho’s potential replacement at Manchester United as the winger nears a January exit.
Sancho, 23, has been ousted from first-team training after refusing to apologise to manager Erik ten Hag following their public feud.
The Englishman was left out of the Red Devils’ lineup to face Arsenal last month, with Ten Hag providing an update on the player after their Carabao Cup win over Crystal Palace on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Sancho was reportedly ‘blocked from attending’ a recent barbecue hosted by Ten Hag for the rest of the squad.
It remains to be seen whether Sancho is able to edge his way back into the United set-up, but his days would appear numbered at Old Trafford.
Spanish giants Barcelona are thought to be interested in the former Borussia Dortmund man, while Premier League rivals Liverpool have been urged to sign him.
If Sancho is to depart in the January transfer window, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has tipped Wolves wide-man Pedro Neto to replace him.
Providing an update on the situation for CaughtOffside, the Italian revealed no decision had been made yet, but Neto would be a ‘good opportunity’.
“Just one final point on Man United and Jadon Sancho – at the moment there is no significant update to report, and I’m not aware of any decision on a potential new winger signing in January,” Romano said.
“There are many good opportunities around such as Pedro Neto who I’ve already mentioned and who is a fantastic player, but it’s absolutely not sure or guaranteed that Man United will spend big money in January.”
Neto was instrumental in Wolves’ incredible 2-1 win over Manchester City on the weekend, bursting down the right-hand flank before seeing his shot deflected off Ruben Dias and into the roof of Ederson’s net.
Do you think Neto would be a good signing for Manchester United? Let us know in the comments.
