Mykhailo Mudryk has responded to a fan who shouted ‘London is Red’ at him
Gunners, was aimed at Mudryk as he stepped onto a team bus while on international duty with Ukraine.
Mudryk was on the verge of joining Arsenal before he opted to move to Chelsea in January, a decision he has since been mocked for given the two teams’ contrasting fortunes.
The 22-year-old has largely struggled since his £88.5m switch to Chelsea, registering just one goal and two assists across 25 appearances.
Mudryk’s poor form has been him ridiculed even more for snubbing Arsenal and a clip went viral in August of Gunners fans approaching the player in his car.
‘Arsenal bro, Mudryk Arsenal,’ one fan said in the video. ‘Your dream team. Come on, if you had played you would have won the Premier League.’
Mudryk has now been targeted again as a supporter shouted ‘London is Red’ at him on Thursday, in reference to Chelsea’s upcoming match against Arsenal after the international break.
Prior to making the comment, the fan had asked Mudryk for a selfie and after he made the remark about Arsenal, the winger replied: ‘Why are you asking for a picture then?’
Mudryk had a green laser shone in his eyes during Chelsea’s 3-1 defeat to Arsenal last season.
