Celtic’s reported January transfer target, Raul Moro, has suffered a major injury blow that could put an end to any immediate chance of a move to Parkhead. The 21-year-old winger, who plays for Real Valladolid, was stretchered off during his side’s 2-1 loss to Espanyol with what is suspected to be a fractured collarbone.
The injury is expected to rule Moro out for around three months, which would likely shelve any potential move to Celtic until the summer. Moro has been one of Real Valladolid’s standout performers this season, attracting interest from several clubs, including Celtic and Ajax.
Valued at £8.5 million, Moro’s injury comes at a critical time when Celtic were reportedly weighing up an offer for the Spain U21 international. Real Valladolid were said to be aware of Celtic’s interest, but as of now, no formal bid had been submitted.
