LEWIS HAMILTON MAKES BOLD CLAIM ABOUT FERRARI’S DRIVER PAIRING
Seven-time Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton has made a bold statement about his new team, Ferrari, and their driver pairing. Hamilton, who joined Ferrari from Mercedes, believes that he and teammate Charles Leclerc form the strongest pairing in Formula 1 history.
“We’re the strongest pairing F1 has probably ever had,” Hamilton said during a driver presentation in Milan. “I have always imagined what it would be like sitting in the cockpit, surrounded by red. I have always seen the drivers that have come before me in red and wondered how that would look on me.”
Hamilton’s statement is a testament to the high level of confidence he has in his new team and teammate. Leclerc, who has been with Ferrari for several years, is widely regarded as one of the most talented drivers in the sport.
Ferrari’s team principal, Frederic Vasseur, will be hoping that Hamilton’s bold claim is a sign of things to come for the team. Ferrari has not won a Formula 1 championship since 2008, but with Hamilton and Leclerc at the helm, they will be hoping to end that drought this season.
Hamilton is set to make his debut for Ferrari at the upcoming Grand Prix, and he is eager to get started. “Today is another first to go with others I’m experiencing in what is already an unforgettable season for me,” he said. “I can’t wait to get on track with this extraordinary team. I think we have everything we need to fight for the World Championship, and I also believe that you fans can be our extra gear. I hope we will have a lot of fun together.”
Only time will tell if Hamilton’s bold claim about Ferrari’s driver pairing will come to fruition. However, one thing is certain – with Hamilton and Leclerc at the wheel, Ferrari will be a force to be reckoned with this season.
