Arsenal have been linked with a move to sign Julian Brandt, and Kai Havertz is a huge fan of the Borussia Dortmund star.
The Gunners are expected to be active in the January transfer window. They need reinforcements in midfield, while a versatile attacker would also really help. Brandt, who checks many boxes, has been linked with a move to Arsenal.
Arsenal’s Kai Havertz once said Julian Brandt was better than Erling Haaland and Jadon Sancho
Borussia Dortmund were a joy to watch a few years ago when they had Erling Haaland, Jadon Sancho and current Arsenal target Julian Brandt in their side.
Back in the 2019/20 season, BVB finished second in the Bundesliga, behind Bayern Munich. However, they scored 84 goals in 34 games in the league, which is a fantastic record.
Haaland scored 16 goals in all competitions for Dortmund that season after joining the club in January, while Sancho managed 20 goals and 20 assists in what was a tremendous individual campaign.
Brandt only managed seven goals and 13 assists, but Kai Havertz publicly claimed in February 2020 that the German was Borussia Dortmund’s best player ahead of both Haaland and Sancho.
He told Kicker: “I wrote to him (Brandt) on Tuesday after the game. Sancho and Haaland aren’t playing too badly either, but at the moment he’s the best player at (Borussia) Dortmund.”

The outlet claimed that Brandt and Havertz were best buddies during their time at Leverkusen together.
Arsenal want to sign Brandt
Julian Brandt has been linked with a move to the Premier League on at least a dozen occasions over the years, and Arsenal have always reported to have been interested.
Now, the rumour mill is at work again, and the Gunners are reportedly keen one more time.
The Mirror claimed just a few days ago that Arsenal and Newcastle United are both interested in signing Brandt, who is having an amazing season at Dortmund. The 27-year-old has scored six goals and provided five assists already this season, and he is on course to have a fantastic campaign.
It will be interesting to see how Brandt would fare in the Premier League if he joined Arsenal in January.
