Arsenal have reportedly kept Girona defender Miguel Gutierrez on their list of potential left-back signings, though only for the summer.
The La Liga youngster has exploded onto the scene this season as the Catalan club find themselves firmly in the battle for the title alongside Real Madrid.
And Gutierrez has been key to Girona’s success, with the left-back starting all but one game for the Blanquivermells this season in what is becoming a fairytale year.

Now, according to journalist Alex Crook via GiveMeSport, Arsenal have added Gutierrez to their transfer list ahead of the summer window, with the Gunners keen to add to the position.
Crook said when asked about Arsenal’s interest in Gutierrez this January window: “They’ve got a couple of left-backs they like.
“The boy Gutierrez at Girona, and also Hato at Ajax. I think they may be more with a view to the summer. I don’t think they’ve got loads of money to spend in this window, Arsenal.”

Previously described by Zinedine Zidane as a ‘phenomenal’ player, the £35m-rated defender has enjoyed quite the year with Girona in La Liga.
Whether or not the Catalan side can go all the way is another question entirely, yet one thing that is certain is that the likes of Gutierrez can expect big moves at the end of this season.
And Arsenal could be a dream destination for the youngster, with the north London side clearly keen to sign a new left-back this year.
Indeed, whilst many top clubs will also be chasing Gutierrez, it is pretty obvious that Arsenal are big fans of the 22-year-old youngster, and a deal could be reached with Girona leading into the summer.
