West Ham next manager search begins as David Moyes exit revealed – sources

West Ham are ready to start the search for their next manager with David Moyes expected to leave the club this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

Football Insider revealed on Monday (15 April) that the Irons are now looking “more and more likely” to part with the 60-year-old.

The ex-Man United boss revealed in February that he had been offered a contract to remain at West Ham.

But the two parties are set to part amicably this summer – with the London club set to kickstart the contingency plan they put in place earlier this season.

It is believed West Ham chiefs are keen to go down a different avenue with their next appointment – moving away from the defensive brand of football which saw many fans opposed to Moyes despite his success.

Meanwhile, sources have told Football Insider that Moyes is eyeing taking another challenge at this stage of his career.

The ex-Man United boss has endured a fraught relationship with West Ham technical director Tim Steidten, with the pair clashing over summer signings shortly after his appointment last summer (2023).

Moyes has helped the Irons reach a third consecutive European quarter-final – and went all the way to lift the Europa Conference League with the club last term.

But the Londoners currently sit eighth in the Premier League and are 2-0 down on aggregate heading into their Europa League quarter-final second leg against Bayer Leverkusen.
