Deal Close: Gabriel Jesus is NOT HAPPY that Arsenal are close to signing world-class striker for just £20M, here is why?
Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal have been linked with Marcos Leonardo of Santos.
According to Football Transfers, Arsenal are interested in signing Marcos Leonardo from Santos in the summer transfer window.
The report has claimed that Arsenal have had scouts watching Santos striker Leonardo in action.
Football Transfers have quoted Leonardo’s U13 coach Gustavo Roma as saying that the 20-year-old striker “a really good finisher, he always manages to be in the middle of every middle, he’s very mobile and intense, with great instincts”.
Roma has added that Leonardo “has an eye for goal, he is a killer and born scorer”.
Santos would be willing to sell the 20-year-old striker for £20 million, according to Football Transfers.
What should Arsenal do about Marcos Leonardo?
In our opinion, if Arsenal are really certain about the potential of Marcos Leonardo, then they should make a bid for him in the summer transfer window.
A transfer fee of £20 million is not really that much.

Now, of course, just because Leonardo has done well in Brazil does not mean that he will do well in the Premier League.
However, we have see with Gabriel Martinelli that Arsenal can spot a bargain in Brazil.
According to Football Transfers, Brazil Under-20 international striker Leonardo has given 11 goals and given four assists in 27 appearances in 2023.
If Arsenal do sign the Santos striker, then the North London club should be patient with him and allow him to grow and develop at his own pace.
