‘He is not happy’: BBC Pundit shares what he noticed about Leeds star’s body language at Norwich

BBC pundit Jon Newsome has shared his thoughts on Leeds United star Archie Gray’s performance in the 0-0 draw against Norwich City in the Sky Bet Championship Play-Off Semi-Final 1st Leg. Gray, 18, was given a new role by Daniel Farke, playing in the number 10 position behind Georginio Rutter, but with a more defensive approach.

Newsome praised Gray’s “tireless” performance, saying: “He drifted in and out of the game, but he was absolutely full of running. He has worked tirelessly for the side.” However, Newsome also noticed that Gray seemed unhappy and “disjointed” towards the end of the game, suggesting that something may have been said to him by Farke or another team member.

Farke was seen giving Gray “words of wisdom” on the pitch immediately after the final whistle, pointing to an area of the pitch where he wanted Gray to improve. This suggests that Gray may have been instructed to make adjustments to his game, potentially to support the team’s defensive efforts.

Despite the solid result, Leeds will feel they could have won on another day. However, Gray’s performance and willingness to adapt to a new role are positives for the team moving forward.
