We’re just going to have to take a balanced view on different guidelines on what could happen and it puts a lot of added attention on the recruitment side of things or the possible recruitment side of things because the wider the parameters, the harder it is.”

Regarding Dele Alli, whose contract expires this summer, Dyche expressed his desire to see the player return to form. “My main aim and I’ve spoken to him endlessly about it is just to get him back on the pitch, get him playing, get him smiling, get him enjoying it again.” Alli has struggled with personal issues and injuries, but Dyche believes he has the potential to be a top player when fully fit.
