“Very Very Cheap” Everton tells Manchester United how much they should pay to sign Branthwaite this summer

Manchester United are in the driving seat to sign Everton centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite, despite Real Madrid entering the race for his signature. According to Mundo Deportivo, United are ‘best positioned’ to sign the 21-year-old, who has also attracted interest from Tottenham Hotspur.

Everton are willing to sell Branthwaite for a fee of around £60m, but United should aim to negotiate a lower transfer fee, potentially an initial £50m with £10m in add-ons. The young defender has impressed this season, winning 68% of his duels, and has a strong passing accuracy of 80%.

Branthwaite would be an ideal signing for United, who are set to lose Raphael Varane when his contract expires on June 30. The club are likely to prioritize a right-sided centre-back, and Branthwaite’s ability to play on the right-hand side, as he did during his loan spell at PSV Eindhoven, makes him a strong candidate.

The Red Devils should act quickly to secure Branthwaite’s signature, as Real Madrid’s interest could spark a bidding war. With his potential and impressive stats, Branthwaite would be a brilliant signing for United, and the club should do everything in their power to bring him to Old Trafford.
