Jalen-Hurts-list
Let me just start by saying this: If you’re putting out a list of the top quarterbacks in the NFL and Jalen Hurts isn’t on it—rip it up, throw it in the trash, and go find a new career.

SB Nation dropped their latest “QB rankings” and somehow had the audacity to leave Hurts completely off the list. Not even a top-10 snub. We’re talking not even mentioned in the top 13. It’s delusion. It’s disrespect. And it’s frankly disqualifying behavior for anyone claiming to cover football professionally.

I’m dead serious when I say this: every one of these “analysts,” “creators,” or whoever the hell is behind this clown show of a ranking should be forced to buy a ticket to the Eagles’ home opener against the Cowboys. I want them sitting in the nosebleeds, watching Jalen Hurts raise the Super Bowl banner in front of the world, then walking their sorry asses down to the field, getting on their knees, and kissing that man’s feet.

Public apology required. Access to social media and video software? Revoked. You don’t deserve a platform if you can’t recognize elite quarterback play when it’s in your face.

SB Nation’s clown show of a quarterback list

  • 10. CJ Stroud, Houston Texans
  • 9. Geno Smith, Las Vegas Raiders (HUH)
  • 8. Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers (LOL)
  • 7. Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys (LOL even harder)
  • 6. Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams
  • 5. Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers (HAHAHA)
  • 4. Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals (Eh)
  • 3. Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills (Eh)
  • 2. Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens (Eh)
  • 1 . Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs (Hurt’s son. But I get it.)

Let’s Talk Numbers (Since That’s All You Nerds Care About)

“I don’t play the game for stats, I don’t play the game for numbers, I don’t play the game for any statistical approval from anyone else… the number one goal is to come out here and win.”
— Jalen Hurts

And yet the numbers still back up Jalen Hurts

  • 95.4 career playoff passer rating
  • 1,813 playoff passing yards
  • 10 touchdowns to just 3 interceptions in the postseason
  • Broke Mahomes’ records for most playoff pass attempts without an INT and most games without one
  • Super Bowl MVP and would have two of them thangs if the NFL didn’t call holding on James Bradberry in the first Eagles-Chiefs Super Bowl matchup.

He’s literally outperformed Patrick Mahomes in the playoffs statistically, and you’re telling me he’s not a top 13 QB? Please. Not to mention both Super Bowls the two matched up against each other, Hurts out dueled him each time.

There’s only a few quarterbacks in the NFL right now who can do what Jalen Hurts does: command an offense, lead a locker room, and win when it matters. He’s already taken his team to a Super Bowl, already proven he can go toe-to-toe with Mahomes, and already put up MVP-level numbers. If this is about “who looked pretty throwing a football in Week 4,” then just say that.

But if we’re talking about winning football games and making championship runs? Hurts is that guy. Which is all that matters anyways. It’s why we all buy jerseys, cough up careless money on tickets, travel, you name it to watch America’s game.

SB Nation should issue a retraction and a written apology to not only Jalen Hurts but every Eagles fan on the planet. This isn’t just a bad take. It’s flat-out football malpractice. And come September, when the Eagles are raising a Super Bowl banner and Hurts is out there picking apart defenses again, don’t come crawling back.

We remember. We always remember. Fly Eagles Fly.
