Rangers have reportedly issued Celtic with a bill that could rise to £1milllion for the damage to Ibrox during their Scottish Cup clash earlier this season.
The Sun claim Rangers are demanding a whopping seven-figure fee for damages.
However, Celtic feel they are only “obliged” to pay £50k due to “longstanding agreement” between the Glasgow giants.
But that has infuriated the Light Blues hierarchy who are currently “withholding payment for away tickets” from last week’s derby clash at Celtic Park, with the SFA now involved in the dispute.
There were chaotic full-time scenes in March after the Hoops secured victory over their rivals in a penalty shoot-out.
The away crowds were slashed to just 750 almost eight years ago, but an agreement between the clubs saw the numbers increased this term.
2500 Rangers fans were at Celtic Park at New Year and more than 2000 Celtic supporters hit Ibrox in the Premiership encounter seven days before the Scottish Cup showdown.
However, cup rules allowed Hoops fans to snap up the full Broomloan Stand for the first time in eight years. Following the 4-2 win on penalties for Martin O’Neill’s men, there was a massive pitch invasion after a series of incidents throughout derby day.
The dispute centres around “significant damage done to the high-tech pitch-side LED screens” when Hoops fans entered the pitch following their penalty shoot-out victory.
