Liam Scales has committed his future to Celtic, signing a new deal that will keep him at the club until at least the summer of 2030.
It’s a move that reflects his recent form as much as his steady rise since arriving from Shamrock Rovers in 2021. The 27-year-old has grown into a reliable figure in the squad, and Celtic have moved to secure that — with the option of an extra year built into the agreement.
For Scales, it’s an easy decision.
“I’m delighted to commit for another few years here,” he said. “It’s an amazing club and I’ve grown to love it. I feel a real part of it now.
“I really enjoy myself here, I love my life here in Scotland and it was good for all parties to get this done.
“I feel like I’ve got the game experience now, I’ve played nearly 150 games for the club and I’ve played for Ireland.
“It’s all coming together nicely and I just want to continue on the right trajectory over these next few years.”
