HERE’S footage of the moment Lawrence Shankland clashed with a pitch-invading Celtic fan in the dying seconds of today’s all-or-nothing title decider.
There were shock scenes after substitute Callum Osmand ran the length of the pitch to put the final nail in Hearts‘ hopes of winning their first top flight title since 1960.
There was still time remaining on the clock as thousands of fans stormed onto the pitch to celebrate – while some couldn’t resist confronting Hearts players amid claims that Hearts players had been ‘assaulted’.
The Sky Sports cameras captured the aftermath of the incident, with Shankland pushing a fan clad in black away from him amid the melee.
With Jambos pals Oisin McEntee and Frankie Kent also on the scene, another Hoops supporter carrying a small child gets in the Jambos skipper’s face to make an obscene gesture.
At least one Hoops fan is shown trying to intervene on the Hearts skipper’s behalf.
Referee Don Robertson is shown running off the pitch, while other players were ordered to leave the field of play.
It was then deemed that the match WOULDN’T be restarted and the title celebration would proceed.
Eilidh Barbour, anchoring SkySports’ coverage of the match, said: “We’re hearing reports that there were some assaults on Hearts players.”
Seated alongside her, pundit James McFadden said: “We don’t want to see that. There are two teams who have earned the right to be here.”
