He said: “McGregor is clearly weighing up his options, and I’ve been told, and I don’t know if you’ve heard this, McGregor’s off to Saudi. That’s what I’ve heard.”
Bell added: “He’s not saying that to cameras, but I’ve heard similar things.”
Cameron then went a step further: “Yeah, so he’s off to Saudi. So McGregor’s gone. I think he’s going to end up with Rodgers, that’s what’s been said.”
Despite the strength of those claims, there has been no official confirmation from either Celtic or McGregor himself. The midfielder continues to start games and lead the side through a demanding run of fixtures.
Still, the noise around his future isn’t coming out of nowhere. McGregor has recently spoken about the need for the club to keep progressing and made it clear that proper backing from the board will be key moving forward.
