Supercomputer predicts if Rangers can beat Hearts and Celtic to title after Motherwell defeat

Posted on April 29, 2026 by MrSport

Rangers’ title hopes took a turn for the worse after they suffered a 3-2 defeat against Hearts at Ibrox on Sunday.

With Hearts and Celtic both winning their respective games, it means that the Light Blues are now in third place on the SPFL table.

Rangers take on Hearts next, and a defeat in that would all but end their chances of lifting the title.

Will Rangers sack Danny Rohl if they fail to win the league?

If he goes, who would be a good replacement for him?

Rangers still given a 23 per cent chance to win the Scottish Premiership

Stats Ultra’s Supercomputer has crunched the numbers and has given the Gers a 23 per cent chance of winning the title.

Their arch rivals Celtic are also given the same chance, with both Old Firm sides predicted to finish with 76 points.

However, as things stand, Hearts have been backed to make the most of their three-point lead at the top of the table.

The Supercomputer predicts that they will win the league this season with 78 points.

MORE RANGERS STORIES

The league leaders have been handed a 54 per cent chance to go on to lift the Scottish Premiership title.

What can Rangers expect in the next four weeks?

Rohl knew that he had only two home games post the split and losing one of them is certainly not an ideal scenario.

Next up for the Gers, is a tricky away trip to Tynecastle to take on the league leaders.

While Hearts have shown signs of inconsistencies in recent weeks, they are a tough outfit to beat at home.

Will Rangers re-sign Mikey Moore for the 2026/27 season?

His silence when asked about a return speaks volumes…

Rangers will have to come up with something different, as if they play the way they did against Motherwell, they are bound to lose.

After that, they take on Celtic at Parkhead, which is going to be an extremely crucial game.

They have managed to beat the Hoops in their own backyard this season, and that is what Rohl will be emphasising going into the game.

Following that game, the Light Blues play host to Hibs at Ibrox on 13 May, in a game which they should be winning.

They then end their season with an away game against Falkirk, and will likely need to win that to get their hands on the title.
