Danny Rohl has refused to throw in the towel in the title race for Rangers despite suffering defeat to Hearts at Tynecastle.
The Light Blues fell to a 2-1 loss in Gorgie to all but fall out of the chase for the league trophy, now seven points behind their foes with just nine to play for.
Rohl has always made it clear that he feels his side are still capable of winning but after a second defeat in a row, their chances of lifting silverware is now highly unlikely.
Speaking in the aftermath of the clash, Rohl was grilled on whether or not he feels things are now out of his side’s reach.
But rather than acknowledge the league deficit is insurmountable, the German insisted that while the club are still mathematically in the race, he will continue to demand points and effort from his squad.
“I think we have to look to our games and play with courage the next three games, it’s what I demand from my group. I think nothing else,” he told BBC Sportsound.
“We have two games to go, I want to see a group who fights for every point and plays good football for 90 minutes in both directions. This is what we want and what we have.
“I think it’s over when it’s over and it’s not because there are still three games to go. It’s a very difficult situation, the last two games put us there. We worked so hard to come to this point and then you lose two tight games. It’s not good enough for the moment.”
Asked about a potential squad overhaul in the summer, Rohl was coy.
“I think we will analyse the season, what was right and what was wrong and what we have to improve and then I’m totally convinced from the summer, we go again.”
